Red form of Drosera serpens

The red form of Drosera serpens grows on Cape York, Far North Queensland. The form is consistently found in the monsoonal savannah and northernmost swamps, occuring in roughly equal frequencies with the normal green form and sometimes growing side-by-side. It seems that the red form has a slight preference for wetter habitats such as creekside seepages and shallowly inundated floodplain, whereas the green ones are found in grassier environments.
